13 Days of Halloween – Day 9 – COME, SIT A SPELL

Nothing is more relaxing than a southern porch on a crisp fall day. So on Day 9 of my 13 Days of Halloween, I’m customizing my back porch into a restful sitting area for my witchy friends. Gone are the high humidity and temperatures, and you can smell the changing leaves, so it’s a perfect time to come ‘Sit a Spell’.

You can have a seat anywhere. There’s a nice gliding settee on one end…

…and a swivel rocker and lounge chair on the other.

Not to mention the comfy sofa. To make the area a little more festive, I’ve brought out my best fall and Halloween pillows.

There’s a crow and owl to greet us as we sit.

I’ve put some fresh pansies in the witch’s brew cauldron along with spooky candles to celebrate your arrival;

Hung matching witches wreaths…

… and added fresh mums and witch statue atop the garden bench.

I’ve even added some Halloween decorations to the bakers rack to make you feel at home.

I was hoping you could stay for brunch. I’ve set the table for two.

I know orange and black are your favorite colors.

Just for you, fresh flowers, and my best ‘bone’ china.

What time will be flying in?

      Thanks for your kind comment and glad to meet a fellow Alabamian. I’m from the Huntsville area, what about you? I’ve visited ‘Living with Thanksgiving’ several times but it never occurred to me that you are blogging from Alabama too. Cheri
