It’s offfical…this War Eaglet is a Delta Delta Delta!

Cheers to my niece, Hannah, who received a bid from Delta Delta Delta during 2015 Auburn Sorority Bid Day. Bid Day marks the end of recruitment, a week-long schedule of mandatory socials, meetings and special events. Today, all the girls gathered in the Auburn Arena to discover which sorority they would join. Hannah had her mom and sister on-hand to lend support.

After receiving their bids, the women scurried from the arena to their prospective sorority houses where they were greeted with songs, cheers, and hugs.  And yes, there were lots of squeals!

Record Year

According to Auburn, nearly 1,615 women participated in recruitment and 1,489 were offered bids to join one of Auburn’s 17 National Panhellenic Conference Sororities. Jill Moore, Director of Greek Life, said 93 percent of women who participated were invited to join a sorority; and 2015 recruitment set a record, with more girls than ever receiving bids.

In closing, Hannah, I hope you are happy as a TriDelta, that you are surrounded by sisters you feel comfortable with, forge lifelong friendships, learn new leadership skills and most of all have fun!
